- There has been an increase of parochial fees with effect from 1 January 2014. The fees payable for Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, Burials, Memorials and Searches of Records are set out in a new Table of Parochial Fees.

- HM Passport Office and the General Register Office have produced an
updated Guidebook for teh Clergy/a>, covering marriage registration
and burial law.

- The fee for a Common Licence for marriage has been increased to £200.00 with effect fromn 1 April 2013.

- Parochial Church Councils should note that, under the Church Representation Rules 2011, there is a requirement for each PCC to create a new electoral roll in 2013. Please see the attached guidance and forms from the Diocesan Office. And see PCCs.

- The fee payable on lodging a Faculty Petition was increased on 1 January 2013 to £157.00 for a Chancellor's Faculty and £72.00 for an Archdeacon's Faculty. An additional fee (not exceeding £47.00 without the sanction of the Chancellor) can be charged for correspondence. (In the Diocese of Peterborough, the fees will only apply to private faculty applications, as faculty fees for church applications are dealt with through the diocesan budget.)
